How to burn scented candles is very particular

The scented candle is one of the popular products among art lovers. Let people who use products burn a sense of well-being as if we like some collectibles. The scented candle is improved on the traditional candle process, with various perfume essential oils to emit different fragrances during the burning process. Based on lighting, the product value is given to a deeper level.

When I was planting grass-scented candles, a girl asked me: Why can’t my candle burn out a flat and beautiful wax pool? I have had the trouble of beloved candles burning very ugly. After doing some homework, I realized how to burn scented candles is very particular.

1. The first burn is significant!
If you want a scented candle to burn nicely, you must wait for the candle on the surface to melt completely to form a flat wax pool before extinguishing it!
Wax has a memory. If you burn out the candle without waiting for the complete wax pool to burn out once, you will not burn it out every time you burn it once, and a deep hole will form over time. However, as long as the complete wax pool is burned at once, you can be capricious in the future because your candle already remembers where the burning edge is.

2. Trim the wick before each burn
Trim the wick every time before lighting the candle, leaving a length of about 5 mm. If the wick is too long, the candle will be consumed quickly, and trimming can make the candle last longer. Moreover, if it is not cut, black smoke is likely to occur, and the wall of the candle cup is quickly blackened. It is recommended to trim before burning. If the candle is not entirely solidified when you cut the wick, it will be more tragic once the charcoal accumulated on the top of the wick falls into the wax pool.

3. Let professional tools do professional things
Into the scented candle pit, you need to be equipped with at least three professional tools: candle extinguisher, igniter, and candle wick shear.
Standard candle extinguishers include candle extinguishing clocks and candle extinguishing hooks. However, you are not recommended to fire the candle hook. The method of extinguishing the candle hook is to press the candle wick into the candle pool to destroy it so that the carbon head at the top of the candle wick can easily fall into the wax pool. In contrast, extinguished candle clocks are more suitable. A special igniter for scented candles is required because once the candle is burned down, the lighter at home usually cannot reach the wick, and scented matches are also a good choice. If it is a relatively thin candle cup, especially when the candle has been burned deep, the daily scissors cannot be inserted into the candle cup, and the slender candle wick shears can trim the candle wick easily. More importantly, trim the candle wick with ordinary scissors. The broken wick of the cut wick can easily fall into the candle cup, while with the round wick, the broken wick will steadily fall on the rounded head. Fall into the candle cup to contaminate the candle.

4. Straighten the wick after each burn
The girls who have burned the scented candles may have found that if the wick is bent to one side, the candle on that side will burn faster, and the candle on the other side will not burn continuously, resulting in the candle not going down. After the girls have finished roasting, while the candles have not completely melted, it is recommended to straighten the wick to ensure it is located in the center of the wax pool.

5. Each burning time does not exceed 3 hours
The scented candle should burn for at most 3 hours each time. After over 3 hours, the wax oil will burn, affecting the candle’s fragrance spread. At the same time, it will cause other problems, such as overheating the candle cup, mushroom heads, and black smoke.

6. Close the lid when not burning
When the scented candle is not burning, could you cover it with a lid? If you leave the mouth open outside, not only is it easy to fall into dust, the bigger problem is that the fragrance is easy to lose, and the candle will not smell after a while. However, many brands of candle covers are sold separately. You can leave the box with the candle, put it back in the box when it is unused, and store it in a cool, dry cabinet.
